There is no need to type in book data. It can be loaded from Amazon or Bookcrossing. This includes author, title, publisher, publiation date, price, a book thumbnail and much more.
With BookGears you can extract book data from public libraries and store it in Bookpiles.
All book data is stored in an database on your PC. With Bookpiles books can be organized in book folders like e-mails in mail folders (e.g. in Outlook). Bookpiles has a book preview and one dashboard which gives an overview about the books in the Bookpiles database.
